Teaching With A Purpose

Teaching is more than a profession, it’s a mission. Every teacher is a missionary. We all have our own missions, not just to teach our lessons,  but to touch lives and impart good things to everyone. We are here to serve as good role models. Models worthy to be emulated in words and in deeds. As a teacher I realized that students will learn best if they really see in me what I’m teaching to them. Love more in action, not just in words.
Professionalism is very important. Even if I am in pain or I have a problem , I need to stand in front of them and teach my lesson.
Respect is very important. Respect begets respect. I should respect my students if I want them to respect me. “ For whatever we sow, we shall reap”.
I will continue to stand for what is right. I won’t please people, I’d rather choose to please God in everything I do. I will excel for God’s glory. I am a teacher, I am God’s missionary.

Obedience...far better than sacrifice

I was really hesitant to obey our principal to be interviewed for the Foothill College scholarship, for some reasons: I was working with my thesis at that time...and I'm afraid to speak in front of many people, I might commit mistakes. But of course we learn from our own mistakes. By God's grace, I passed the interview, and became part of the Foothill College scholars.
Then the training came...I was so amazed and overwhelmed with the things/stuff I have learned for two weeks. I feel so humbled with these new things. I'm not really a  "techi" person, I just know MS Word and Excel...and that would be enough for me. But because of this training(KCIPang) I am really thankful to God that I obeyed our principal. Really, "Obedience is far better than sacrifice".
All our trainors we're so great, wonderful, nice and humble. They have taught us a lot of media tools and innovative strategies, that would help all teachers. Thanks God for this very rare opportunity.
